Discovering Kanchanaburi: Year 7 and 8 camp 5th – 7th November 2018. AISB students from years 7 and 8 took part in an unforgettable 3 day trip to Kanchanaburi. Organised by Traidos Three-Generation Barge Program, the students crossed and water colour painted the bridge on the River Kwae, They visited the Prisoner of War museum and War Cemetery at Donrak, before cooling down with a swim on the first evening. On the second day, pupils learned archaeological and mapping skills at the Prasat Muang Singh Historical Park (this links into their units of work in History). They then took part in a vital dam-building community project at nearby Samakkeetham Village, before heading back to release even more energy on the resort’s water “Wipeout” course!
